Counterfeit Drugs: Towards an Irish Response to a Global Crisis

With this report prepared by Dublin City University researchers from the School of Nursing and the School of Law & Government, the Irish Patients’ Association has sought informed direction for public awareness programs, and a seamless approach by government agencies to combat this problem nationally and internationally. This report will be a contribution to the strategy required to protect patients, the public and other stakeholders.
I would like to sincerely thank the team at Dublin City University, through the project leader Dr Dónal O’Mathúna, and Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, Mr Tim O’Malley for his support in enabling this report to be prepared.
