Following on from our analysis of GMS Profiles and payments for 2009 , there is a need for deeper analysis and understanding of the confounders , again I restate that these reports are not intended to be a decision making tool but more as a starting point for an informed conversation amongst other key stakeholders; Government, Policy makers, General Practioners,Patient Groups ,Patient Advocates,Community groups, Economists, and Payers.
This section illustrates the amount of earnings for public practice and suggests the challenges to convert to universal public access for all. It does raise the question is the model of reimbursement competitive and are the packages of care appropriate for the patient catchment areas of these individual practices in the 21st Century?
